About the Park
A Flagship Public Space for a New Addis Ababa
Addis Sport Park is a public initiative developed by the Addis Ababa City Administration to promote healthy living, active lifestyles, and inclusive community engagement. The park provides accessible recreational facilities designed to enhance the quality of life for residents while also honoring Ethiopian athletes who have brought global recognition to the nation, with statues placed along the running track to celebrate their achievements and inspire future generations.

The master plan of Addis Sport Park is carefully designed to integrate sports, recreation, and urban mobility within a well-organized and accessible environment, ensuring smooth movement and clear zoning across the 6 hectare site while incorporating pedestrian friendly spaces and a dedicated bus terminal at the front to improve accessibility and reduce congestion in the surrounding area.
Our Facilities & Services
Addis Sport Park offers a comprehensive range of standard sports and support facilities, including football and multi-purpose courts, basketball courts, olympic standard swimming areas, and an 800-meter running track, alongside children’s play areas, on-site commercial spaces, public amenities, and a large basement parking facility that accommodates more than 300 vehicles, all designed to be safe, inclusive, and accessible for all visitors.
